Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This is an English translation for your convenience. If there is any difference, the Spanish version prevails.
At Dineri AI (“Dineri”, “we”) we know your financial information is among the most sensitive there is. This policy explains, in plain words, what data we collect when you use the Dineri AI app (in any of its versions: phone or web) and the website dineri.ai, what we use it for, who we share it with, how we protect it and how you can exercise your rights. It is governed by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015) and other Colombian personal data protection rules.
In short
- We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Dineri doesn’t connect to your bank: it only stores what you log.
- We store only the last 4 digits of your cards and accounts. Never your full number, your bank passwords or your ID number.
- Neri, the AI assistant, only receives data if you allow it, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.
- Photos and PDFs of receipts are read and not stored.
- You can delete your account and all your data from the app at any time.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is:
- Name: Jefferson Aguilar, individual, creator of Dineri AI
- Address: Bogotá D.C., Colombia
- Privacy email: privacidad@dineri.ai
- Website: https://dineri.ai
The email privacidad@dineri.ai is the channel for questions and claims about your personal data.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what the app needs to work. You enter almost all of it yourself; nothing comes from your bank or third parties.
| Type of data | Examples | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Account and access | Email address; the identifier from your sign-in provider if you use one (for example, Apple or Google); password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider, never in plain text). | Yes |
| Profile | First name, last name and nickname. Optionally: photo, phone, date of birth, city, occupation, income type, paydays, expected monthly income and savings goals. | Name and nickname yes; the rest is optional |
| Financial information you log | Accounts and products (name, type, institution, last 4 digits, balance, credit limit, rates, statement and due dates), expenses, income and its source, merchants, categories, transfers, debts, payments, cash advances, fixed expenses, budget and any delinquency or credit bureau status you enter. | No; you decide what to log |
| Shared spaces | Space name and description, members and their roles, invitation codes. | No |
| Use of the Neri assistant | Your questions and Neri’s answers, the data extracted from receipts you send (amount, date, merchant, category), usage amount and its cost, to apply your plan’s monthly limit. | Only if you use Neri |
| Subscription | Plan, app store transaction identifiers, status and expiration date. We don’t receive your payment details: the store (App Store or Google Play) handles them. | Only if you subscribe |
| Preferences and technical data | App preferences (biometric lock enabled, notifications, budget percentages), consent dates, server technical logs (date, request type and errors) for security and diagnostics. | Yes |
| Website visits | When you visit dineri.ai we use Google Analytics to know how many people visit us and which pages they see: page views, where you came from, device type and browser, approximate country or city. Google Analytics uses cookies for this and is only enabled if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time in “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the page. We don’t use it for advertising. | No; only if you accept cookies |
| Waitlist | If you sign up on dineri.ai: your email, which device you’d use the app on, the date and the text of the authorization you accepted. | Only if you sign up |
Waitlist
If you leave your email on the dineri.ai waitlist, we use it only to let you know when the app is available, send you the special launch price for people who signed up and the invitation to the elite user group (people who try new features early and give us feedback). We don’t send you third-party advertising, we don’t share it with anyone and we don’t combine it with other data. We store it on Cloudflare and delete it no later than 6 months after notifying you of the launch, or sooner if you ask us at privacidad@dineri.ai.
Some of this information is financial data and, by its nature, we treat it with the utmost care. We don’t ask for sensitive data as defined in article 5 of Law 1581 (racial origin, health, sexual orientation, biometric data, etc.).
3. What data we don’t collect
- Full card or account numbers, security codes (CVV) or bank passwords.
- Your national ID number or any other identity document number.
- Your face or fingerprint: biometric unlock (face or fingerprint) works only on your device and Dineri only receives a “yes” or “no” from the system.
- Your location, your contacts or your activity in other apps. We don’t use advertising or cross-app tracking tools.
- Photos or PDFs of receipts: they are processed to read them and then discarded.
4. What we use your data for
- Create and maintain your account, sign you in and protect access.
- Provide the app’s features: log transactions, calculate what you have available, your 50/30/20 budget, your debts, card projections, amortization tables, cash flow and simulations.
- Let you share finances with the people in your spaces.
- Answer your questions and read your receipts with Neri, only if you allow it.
- Manage your subscription and apply your plan’s usage limits.
- Handle your requests, questions and claims.
- Keep the service secure, prevent fraud and diagnose errors.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, we don’t build profiles for third parties and we don’t sell or rent it.
5. Neri and artificial intelligence
Neri is an assistant based on an AI model from Anthropic (Claude). Here’s how it works:
- It needs your explicit permission. Before you use Neri we ask for permission and store the date you gave it. Without it, no data is sent. You can withdraw it in More → Privacy.
- What is sent: your question, the latest messages in the conversation and a summary of your finances from the last 90 days (balances, transactions with their merchant and category, debts, budget and fixed expenses, and profile data such as approximate age and income type). Your name, email and phone are not sent.
- Receipts: if you send a photo or PDF, it goes to Anthropic to extract the amount, date and merchant. We instruct the model not to return document or card numbers. The file is not stored on our servers, and you review and confirm the information before it’s saved.
- What we store: the text of your questions and answers and the usage amount, so you can look back at it and to apply your plan’s limit. For receipts we only store the extracted data, not the image.
- Anthropic processes this information as our provider. Under its commercial terms, it does not use it to train its models.
- Neri’s answers are for guidance and may contain errors. They are not professional financial, legal or tax advice.
6. Shared spaces
If you create a space (for example, “Family”) or join one, the other members can see the accounts, transactions, debts and fixed expenses logged in that space, as well as your nickname. What you log as personal remains visible only to you. You can leave a space at any time; if you’re the owner, you can delete it, and everything in it is deleted with it.
7. Who we share data with
Only with providers that help us deliver the service, acting as data processors under our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, profile photo storage and server functions. | United States |
| Google (Google Analytics) | Visit statistics for the dineri.ai website, not for advertising. | United States and others |
| Anthropic | Neri assistant and receipt reading (only with your permission). | United States |
| Apple and Google | Sign-in with their accounts, purchases and subscriptions on the App Store and Google Play. | United States and others |
| Cloudflare | Hosting and security for the dineri.ai website, domain, waitlist storage, checking that whoever signs up is not a robot (Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyzes technical data from your browser without using it for advertising) and forwarding the emails you send to @dineri.ai addresses. | United States and others |
We may also hand over information if a competent authority requires it under the law. Outside those cases, we don’t share your data with anyone.
8. International data transfer
Our providers have their servers outside Colombia, mainly in the United States. By accepting this policy you authorize the transfer and transmission of your data to those countries, for the purposes described here. We require our providers to have adequate security and confidentiality measures, in accordance with article 26 of Law 1581 of 2012.
9. How we protect your data
- All communication between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
- Database access rules ensure each person can only read and modify their own information and that of the spaces they belong to.
- Your session is kept in your device’s secure storage and ends automatically if you don’t open the app for 30 days.
- Optional lock with your device’s biometrics or passcode.
- Profile photos in private, non-public storage.
No system is 100% foolproof. If an incident affects your data, we will let you know and report it to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce as required by law.
10. How long we keep your data
- For as long as your account is active.
- When you delete your account (in More → Delete account) we delete all your personal and financial data, the spaces you own with all their content, your photo and your Neri history. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. What you logged in someone else’s space (for example, a family expense) stays in that space, under its owner, because it is also the other members’ information.
- If you withdraw Neri’s permission, we stop sending it data from that moment on. Previous conversations are kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete them; in that case we delete their text and keep only the month’s usage count, without content, to apply your plan’s limit.
- Server technical logs are kept for short periods, according to our providers’ settings.
- Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription: you do that in the store where you subscribed (App Store or Google Play, from your phone’s settings). The app reminds you before deleting.
11. Your rights
As the data subject, under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:
- Know, update and correct your data. You can edit most of it yourself in the app.
- Request proof of the authorization you gave us.
- Be informed about how we use it.
- Revoke your authorization and request deletion of your data, when there is no legal duty to keep it. You can do this directly by deleting your account.
- Access your data free of charge.
- File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (www.sic.gov.co), after first going through the inquiry or claim process with us.
12. How to exercise your rights
Write to us at privacidad@dineri.ai from the email you signed up with, stating your name, what you are requesting and, if it’s a claim, the facts behind it.
- Inquiries: we respond within 10 business days at most, extendable by 5 more business days if we tell you why.
- Claims (correction, update, deletion or non-compliance): we respond within 15 business days at most, extendable by 8 more business days if we tell you why. If the claim is incomplete, we’ll ask you to complete it within the following 5 days.
13. Minors
Dineri AI is intended for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has given us their data, write to us and we’ll delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app before it takes effect. The date of the last update always appears at the top of this page.
This policy takes effect upon publication. The databases containing your information will remain in effect for as long as you have an active account.
